Position Title:
Part‑Time Program Director (Spring & Fall Seasons)
Position Summary:
The Part‑Time Program Director provides seasonal leadership and operational support for Girls on the Run Austin. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role oversees registration, site set‑up, coach training/support, supply logistics, and the end‑of‑season 5K for both Spring and Fall program cycles. Average commitment: 15 h/week during 8‑week prep and 20 h/week during 10‑week active seasons; ~ 340 hours annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage registration platform; monitor enrollments and scholarships.
- Secure sites, MOUs, and space logistics; maintain 60% paid / 40% scholarship site ratio.
- Recruit, screen, and train volunteer coaches; deliver National Coach Training.
- Provide ongoing coach support, site visits, and substitute coverage.
- Order, organize, and deliver program supplies; track inventory.
- Plan and execute celebratory 5K, including permits, vendors, volunteers, and Buddies.
- Compile season metrics, surveys, and budget reports for board meetings.
- Dedicate a minimum of 10 hours each month to fundraising initiatives (grant prospecting, donor stewardship, AI‑powered donor research).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, recreation, nonprofit management, or related field.
- At least 2 years of program/event operations experience (youth development preferred).
- Strong volunteer management and training skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and program databases.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to lift 30 lbs and work some evenings/weekends.
- CPR/First‑Aid certified (or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $35 – $45 (commensurate with experience).
- Mileage reimbursement at IRS rate
- Monthly wifi stipend
- Computer / printer available
